Check if your car was damaged with Car Vertical - 10% off here carvertical.com This Mercedes C63 W204 is not a fast fix, i bought a black series bodykit for it to completely transform the looks of it when i finally get it back on the road. The hardest part of installing the kit has to be the rear end as its over 70mm wider that original and the rear arches are boded to the body panels leaving no room for error! Along with that i have a bunch more electrical and mechanical problems that i need to fix.

Notes
The video documents the ongoing transformation of a wrecked Mercedes C63 into a four door AMG Black Series inspired build. The host starts by noting the interior is coming together while the exterior remains far from finished, highlighting that the car needs substantial work beyond just cosmetic changes. He walks through the process of fitting the Black Series rear bumper, explaining that the kit is wider by about 70mm at the rear and that the installation requires careful alignment with the car’s body lines. The episode details challenges with the rear bumper, including missing parking sensor holes and the need to modify exhaust tips, which he trims and paints to better suit the updated look. The rebuild also involves widening the rear arches and door skins to accommodate larger wheels, a process that includes cutting the old arches, bonding new sections, and fibreglassing to create a solid connection between new panels and the chassis. Alongside the bodywork, the host tackles electrical and mechanical setbacks such as a released parking brake sensor, a blown pyrotechnics fuse, and a temporary workaround to start the car. He emphasizes the importance of verifying a used car’s history with CarVertical, sharing a sample check that reveals past damage and auction history to avoid hidden issues. By the end of the segment, progress feels incremental but tangible, with the C63 starting to resemble the aggressive Black Series silhouette despite remaining work remaining. The host closes by encouraging viewers to like, subscribe, and check out merch while expressing optimism for a future update that will showcase the completed transformation.

Questions answered
- What is the main mechanical challenge faced when fitting the Black Series bumper on the saloon C63?
- The bumper is wider than the stock panels and lacks factory mounting points, requiring the host to mark new drill holes, trim exhaust tips, and align the bumper with the widened arches so it fits flush with the body lines.
- How does the builder compensate for the car’s past accident history?
- He uses CarVertical to check vehicle history, confirming any recorded damage and viewing auction history to assess potential hidden issues before continuing with work.
- What method is used to secure the wider arch to the car’s structure?
- The builder bonds the widened arch to the chassis using a two-part panel bond adhesive and then fibreglasses the internal area to create a stable joint between the arch, door, and bodywork.
