Description
***WATCH IN HD*** Here I review the DSI Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard, kindly sent out to me by the kind folks at DS International. It is a very lightweight, slim keyboard, but takes very little getting used to. The keyboard has a small amount of travel, and sounds nice when typing. I liked the integrated touchpad - a nice touch, so an out-of-battery mouse is never a real problem. It's so thin that it's space-saving, and it also has a TON of hotkeys and special function keys for easy access to those often hidden features of Windows. The mini usb receiver travels up to 10 feet, and runs at a 2.4 GHz frequency. Being wireless was never a problem, like it is for some keyboards and mice. The video provides a thorough hardware review of the DS International Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard with an integrated touchpad. It opens with Marcus Brownlee explaining the device’s wireless setup, noting that the keyboard uses a USB receiver and drivers are plug-and-play, which allows for a quick and straightforward connection. He demonstrates the on/off switch, height adjustment feet, and establishes that the layout and key travel are compact yet comfortable after a short familiarization period. A key highlight is the built-in touchpad on the right side, which he finds surprisingly responsive after some sensitivity tweaking, making the keyboard versatile for navigation without an external mouse. The review then details the wealth of function and media keys, including a FN lock, volume controls, and media playback buttons, stressing how this keyboard packs many features into a slim form factor. He points out that the keyboard is ergonomic in its angled design and emphasizes that it takes a few days to adapt to the layout, especially the numeric input style that substitutes a numpad with a NumLock arrangement. In conclusion, Marcus expresses positive impressions about the build quality, reliable wireless performance, and overall typing experience, concluding with a favorable rating and a call to check the DSI site for more information.
