The XigmaTek Midgard 3, Nebula, and Aquila from Xigmatek were definitely not something to pass up. While things like wireless charging can be implemented in other ways it is nice to see a company bundling it up into an elegant solution like the Midgard 3. Innovative solutions like fans automatically turning off when covers are closed are also always welcome in my mind because advancing hardware is a good thing as we don't want to become stagnant. The Aquila was interesting because it felt like deja vu, although depending on how strong the supporting arms are it may be a very intriguing case indeed. The video offers a hands-on tour of three Xigmatek cases showcased at Computex 2013: the Midgard 3, Nebula, and Aquila. The presenter immediately highlights the Midgard 3’s wireless charging feature, noting a phone can be placed on top of the case to begin charging, which is presented as a novel and elegant integration for a PC chassis. He explains the overall chassis design, including a closed front without fan holes except along the sides, and mentions that the unit shown is a sample not yet in production, with ongoing considerations for sound dampening on side panels. The Nebula is described as a home-theater oriented case with a bold, glossy finish and a large power button, while the interiors emphasize solid cable management space and compatibility with both smaller and larger cooling solutions. The Aquila is introduced as a compact, strong-crossbar design capable of housing full-size power supplies and larger graphics cards, with the presenter noting potential for a high-performance build in a compact form. Throughout, he details practical features such as a sliding front IO panel, top fan covers that can be opened or closed to adjust airflow and noise, and the use of sound dampening material on panels to reduce noise. The segment closes with remarks on the overall refinement of the cases and an invitation to view more Linus Tech Tips coverage from Computex, underscoring the show’s emphasis on innovative designs and future-ready cooling and accessibility features.
