Description
When we remove the classy beige back panel, we find that this bad boy has some serious junk in the trunk. Microsoft sponsored us to build a sleeper PC that was reminiscent of the '7s. What better place to start then than in 1975, the very beginning of Microsoft. We've gone with AMD's Ryzen 9800 X3D. You know what didn't have any RGB to begin with? Uh, this water block that we've placed on our Astral 5090. All right. What are the odds this does not leak? This time we are getting the full Altter 8800 experience, the full performance experience of a modern top-of-the-line gaming desktop, all packed into one Scene.
The video showcases a retro-inspired PC build that starts with the removal of a beige back panel from a 1975 case, revealing a compact yet powerful setup. The build features AMD’s Ryzen 9800 X3D processor, paired with a custom Astral 5090 water block for cooling, and the entire system is designed to emulate the classic Altair 8800 experience. The presenter walks through the assembly process, highlighting the placement of the CPU, the routing of cables, and the integration of RGB lighting. Throughout the clip, the focus remains on delivering a high-performance gaming desktop that fits neatly into a nostalgic case, with emphasis on airflow and thermal efficiency. By the end, the build is fully functional, showcasing a blend of modern hardware and vintage aesthetics that appeals to both tech enthusiasts and retro fans alike.
