Description

Time to completely transform the rear of the 1 series with the Msport bumper. We already installed the rear spoiler, now this bumper should finish it nicely. The bumper was only £50 from Facebook market place which came with new reg lights and even the parking sensors. It was pretty easy to swap the bumpers over. The video documents the process of upgrading the rear end of a BMW 1 Series E87 by installing an M Sport bumper. The creator sources the bumper from Facebook marketplace for a bargain price and notes that it comes with new number plate lights and parking sensors, which could simplify the swap. The plan involves removing the existing stock bumper, disconnecting the parking sensors, and fitting the M Sport unit to achieve a more aggressive rear appearance. The project is framed as a practical DIY modification with attention to compatibility, sensor wiring, and fitment, while also considering potential future improvements to other parts of the car. The host highlights the differences in length and profile between the new bumper and the old one, and emphasizes the visual impact on the rear styling, especially in relation to the already wrapped Audi TT seen in the channel’s previous content. The walkthrough also touches on the challenges of wiring and sensor compatibility, including a moment where the LED tail lights are tested for correct operation and later reassembled with the proper orientation. The video concludes with a walk-around showing the finished look, a quick discussion of possible next steps, and an invitation for viewer input on future bumper choices such as the 1M or additional M Sport variations. The overall tone is hands-on and enthusiastic, aimed at viewers who enjoy budget-friendly, incremental car upgrades and share interest in BMW styling options.
