Description
Here's the full version of the video I meant to upload last night. I never meant to put up an incomplete video. We cover the accessories and layout of an exciting new P55 motherboard coming from Gigabyte the P55M-UD4. It's the first board we've seen with SLI and Crossfire in a mATX form factor on this new platform.
This unboxing and overview focuses on the Gigabyte P55M-UD4, a micro ATX motherboard designed for the LGA1156 platform. The host outlines the packaging and accessory bundle, including four SATA cables, one IDE cable, an SLI bridge, an I/O shield, manuals, a driver DVD, and a quick start guide. The board itself is highlighted as a compact, feature-rich micro ATX design featuring a multi-phase CPU power solution and robust MOSFET cooling, signaling a high-end orientation despite its smaller form factor. The host notes the board’s dual channel DDR3 support and the ability to run PCI Express 2.0 x8/x8 in SLI and Crossfire configurations, which is particularly notable for a micro ATX board. He also points out practical touches like onboard power, reset, and clear CMOS buttons, plus an extensive SATA port layout that includes seven ports and an eSATA/USB combo on the back plate. As the camera angles reveal the eight-pin CPU power connector and the 24-pin ATX power connector, the focus shifts to the motherboard’s overall design, build quality, and the impression of a high-end product packaged in a compact chassis. The video closes with a summary of connectivity options, including PS/2, a broad USB and audio suite, and the board’s readiness for sli and crossfire, underscoring the P55M-UD4 as a versatile choice for enthusiasts building a micro ATX system on the newer P55 platform.
