Description
***WATCH IN HD*** Here I'll go over a pretty sweet adjustable tilted stand I recieved from HandStands. It's made of a solid plastic, and has a detachable USB 2.0 hub, and it features a 6-level vertical adjustment! It provides a nice typing angle at its lowest setting, but any higher and you'll want to use an external keyboard. I'll show you where to adjust the stand in the video - there's a simple knob, and I was impressed at how high the stand could actually go. There are no fans on this stand, but it does cool your laptop a bit from being off of the ground. Also, the 1-plug USB 2.0 powered hub means you only have to unplug 1 cord to go mobile! The only cons are the lip that blocks the touchpad and/or headphone and mic jacks, and the fact that you pretty much have to remove the laptop to change the angle. The reviewer introduces the HandStands adjustable laptop stand, highlighting its solid plastic construction and practical features. He demonstrates the six vertical adjustment levels accessible via a bottom knob, noting that the stand raises the laptop off the desk to provide a comfortable typing angle, with the caveat that the lowest setting still requires an external keyboard for comfortable use. A standout feature is the built-in four-port USB 2.0 hub located at the back, which is powered and detachable, allowing complete mobility by simply unplugging a single cable when you go on the move. He travels through the device’s exterior details, pointing out the front lip that stabilizes the laptop and the non-slip foam pads underneath, while also acknowledging a potential usability trade-off: the lip can obscure the touchpad and audio jacks on certain laptops, and adjusting the angle requires removing the laptop. The reviewer emphasizes the sturdy plastic build and notes that the stand is a good solution for increasing airflow and reducing heat, though the setup is more suitable for users who accept the reduced touchpad accessibility. He concludes with practical recommendations, suggesting an external keyboard for lower positions, and provides the price once again, while praising the overall design and the convenience of the detachable USB hub. The video closes with a quick recap and a call to check HandStands' site for more information, inviting viewers to subscribe for more hardware reviews.
