Description
XFX sent us an ATI Radeon HD 5870 DirectX 11 1GB video card to feature in unboxing. The cameraman and I will have a full overview including eyefinity technology coming very soon :)
The video opens with applause and Linus presenting the XFX Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, describing it as the new DirectX 11 capable card on the market and positioning it alongside the upcoming 5850. He highlights XFX’s five star support and the double lifetime warranty, then proceeds with the unboxing sequence, starting with the outer packaging and the door hanger that reads do not disturb. The presenter walks through the included accessories such as the installation guides, driver CD, and a Dirt 2 game key, noting that by the time viewers receive the card they will likely download drivers from ATI’s site rather than rely on the CD. The unboxing continues with the accessory pack which includes a Crossfire bridge, two Molex to PCI Express 6-pin adapters, and a DVI to VGA adapter, followed by a detailed look at the card itself. He moves around the card to discuss its layout, starting with the back showing DisplayPort, HDMI with audio, dual DVI, and the ability to run multiple monitors, and the front features including the two PCI Express 6-pin connectors and a compact cooler design. The video emphasizes the card’s design characteristics, like the batmobile-esque shape, the back plate cooling, and the no-nonsense power requirements, concluding with the card’s PCIe 16x interface and a final recap of the Radeon HD 5870’s key features and packaging.
