Grab a YFood Taster Pack Here USE CODE MAT10 bit.ly I picked up this 2012 Audi RS5 from auction for just £12,000. The damage actually looked worse on the photos than it did when i received it. I have since rebuilt it and gave it to my girlfriend @HannahSmith for her to use as her daily car. She chose all the modifications for it to make it her own but the cherry on the cake would be the choice of colour! She picked out a colour and i went ahead and wrapped it.

Notes
The video showcases the transformation of an Audi RS5 that was previously wrecked and is now being rebuilt and wrapped with a striking khaki green finish. The creator begins by highlighting the car’s dramatic change from a damaged, blacked-out appearance to a glossy, paint-like wrap that enhances the car’s lines and details. He explains the wrap choice, materials, and rationale, noting that the color was personally picked by his girlfriend Hannah and how the color interacts with the car’s design features such as the wheels and mirrors. Preparation steps are detailed, including cleaning, removing trim pieces, and masking, before the wrap process begins in earnest. The installation is described step by step, covering the bonnet, wings, doors, bumper, and rear components, with emphasis on achieving straight lines, careful edge trimming, and preserving original paint underneath where possible. Throughout the process, the presenter discusses challenges of wrapping, such as heat management, potential scratches, and the decision to repaint certain elements like the wing mirrors due to wrapping complexity. The wrap is completed after meticulous work on the bumpers, side skirts, door handles, and mirrors, and the car is finally driven outside for the reveal. The reaction from Hannah is captured at the end, with her expressing excitement and satisfaction with the new color and overall look, confirming the wrap has given the RS5 a refreshed, standout presence. The video closes with reflections on the personal journey of rebuilding cars and the impact of the project on the creator’s channel, along with a teaser that more content and a next video will follow soon. Overall, the video blends car engineering, wrap craftsmanship, aesthetic experimentation, and personal storytelling to celebrate a dramatic and visually striking rebuild.

Questions answered
- What color was chosen for the RS5 wrap and why does it stand out?
- The wrap color is khaki green, chosen by Hannah, which creates a high-gloss, paint-like finish that highlights the car’s lines and wheels, making it stand out against the black accents.
- How long did the wrap process take and how many people were involved?
- The wrapping took about three days in total, and it was largely a one-person job with occasional help from Hannah for stretching certain sections.
- Which parts were removed or modified to wrap the RS5 effectively?
- Parts removed or detached included rear lights, door handles, side skirts, and the bumper components where sensors were demasked and wrapped separately for a cleaner finish.
- What materials or techniques were emphasized for achieving a paint-like finish?
- The wrap used a high-quality film (Nosotex) with knifeless tape for edges, careful heat application to avoid over-stretching, and separate treatment for sensitive areas like sensors and mirrors to maintain a seamless, paint-like look.
