Normally when buying a car from the salvage auction they tend to be delivered in alot worse condition than the photos make out, but this Audi RS5 didnt seem to be too bad. We received 2 cars and full service history & the damage seem to be minor for a category S car. But today i begin the full repairs in hope to get it back on the road.

Notes
The video chronicles the ongoing salvage rebuild of Hannah's Audi RS5, focusing on mechanical repairs, bodywork, and wiring challenges. The host begins by removing front-end components to access the suspension and damaged chassis areas, explaining the plan to replace bent arms and assess any subframe damage. He shows careful steps to detach bolts, remove the drive shaft, and inspect the suspension at multiple points, highlighting that one rear banana arm is likely bent. Throughout, the narrative emphasizes using second-hand parts and sourcing help where needed, while marking the project as a learning-by-doing process rather than a professional repair. The segment also touches on the front-end repair strategy, including cutting and welding a damaged bumper section, fabricating a patch using fiberglass, and preparing for a future paint job. He discusses the decision to repair rather than replace the entire bumper due to cost and complexity, signaling a long road to a finished, roadworthy RS5 while aiming to maintain the car’s original lines. The video interleaves practical repair moments with promotional segments for Squarespace and other sponsor messages, tying in the authenticity of a DIY repair channel with business-building tips. By the end of the latest clip, several key components are reassembled, the suspension appears aligned, and the host hints at upcoming steps like wheel alignment and further front-end finishing touches, keeping the audience engaged for the next episode.

Questions answered
- What is the main objective of the RS5 rebuild in this video series?
- The goal is to repair and return Hannah's wrecked Audi RS5 to a roadworthy condition by fixing suspension, repairing or replacing damaged chassis areas, and restoring the bumper and wiring, rather than scrapping the car.
- What challenges are highlighted during the suspension repair?
- The host notes a bent rear banana arm, possible subframe concerns, and the need to align the wheel hub, which requires real-time assessment and parts sourcing, including replacing or fabricating components to restore proper geometry.
- Why does the video include a bumper repair rather than full replacement?
- Because replacing the bumper entirely is costly and more complex; the plan is to trim, weld, and reinforce a second-hand bumper, then sand and paint to preserve alignment and reduce expenses while keeping the overall look.
