Description

***WATCH IN HD*** Here I'm reviewing the Griffin Elevator Laptop Stand kindly sent out to me by Griffin Technology. The stand is made of a brushed aluminum, and has rubberized pads on the top and bottom to prevent sliding. They work perfectly. The stand was actually able to support not just a MacBook Air (as shown on the box) but will also work for a medium-weight 15" Sony Vaio, as well as a beefed-out 17" HP Pavilion. It's really really sturdy. The fact that it's so far off of the ground provides 2 major pros: Airflow is number two... Minor cooling is provided because the air is flowing through the bottom of the stand, between the laptop and the desk. The number one pro is the fact that it's elevated up to the same height as a monitor, which provides a great viewing angle for someone who uses their laptop a lot. This is best used if you have a laptop with an external keyboard, mouse and monitor! Overall Rating: 8/10 Price: $39.99 Here's your link: griffintechnology.com Enjoy - SUBSCRIBE

AI OverviewDefault language

The Griffin Elevator laptop stand is evaluated in this early MKBHD hardware review, focusing on build quality, compatibility, and real-world usability. Marcus Brownlee demonstrates the device’s brushed aluminum construction, highlighting its sturdy feel and the rubberized pads that prevent sliding on both the top and bottom. He tests compatibility with multiple laptops, noting the stand supports a 17-inch laptop without significant bending and accommodates a 15-inch Sony Vaio and a 17-inch HP Pavilion, contradicting any box-side misconceptions that it is only for certain models. The reviewer explains the design as a three-part assembly with two raised grips on top and additional grips on the bottom to stabilize the unit on a desk, and explains how the elevated height improves typing posture when paired with an external keyboard and monitor. A key benefit called out is improved airflow beneath the laptop, providing minor cooling even without internal fans, and the main value proposition is the ergonomic alignment with a monitor, bringing the laptop to roughly the same height for easier, continuous viewing. The video ends with a practical verdict: an 8 out of 10 rating and a price point of $39.99, with a note that it is best used in a setup involving external peripherals and a monitor, reinforcing its role as a desktop accessory rather than a standalone portable stand.
